Advanced Communication Skills

Background Note –
Need –

  1. If there is one attribute that has contributed to man’s success over other animals, it is the ability to communicate with their each other.
  2. However, if communication attributes to man’s success, poor, faulty or the lack of communication is also responsible for destruction of a lot of things that have taken man years to build.
  3. Communication’s complexity cannot be emphasized more in today’s digital age, because, while the digital era has increased the frequency of communication and availability or reach of it, what is communicated and how, is still the prerogative of people who are at the source of the message.
  4. People’s emotions still lie at the centre of the communication and hence it is not just about words.
  5. Global Organizations means communication between people across cultures. Increasing cross-cultural interaction stresses the communication further because interpretations may be different across cultures. This leads to an increased need for sensitization and desensitization.

The program focuses on providing a deep understanding of what communication involves. It focuses on the common challenges we will encounter and how to effectively manage them. The facilitation intends to show the facets of communication and how to master the nuances, no matter what the purpose of the communication.
